Fully Outsourced Uniform Solutions
For nearly three decades we have worked closely with some of South Africa’s major banks and retailers to translate their brand into a corporate uniform solution. We partner with our customers to manage their corporate wear requirements from start to finish. Let us do what we do best, so you can do what you do best.
We design functional garments without compromising on style. Our design team works with the customer to translate their brand into an appropriate, comfortable and durable range of garments. Ensuring the best fit for each customer’s needs we offer both fully-customised and off-the-shelf solutions.
We align our ordering processes to integrate with each customers’ unique requirements. From a specialist fitting service to online ordering, we tailor the best option to make it as easy as possible.
Once our in-house sample team finalises the patterns, tech packs and markers, the garments are manufactured at our production facilities. Production orders are tracked through our customised work flow process, which monitors the order through each stage of the manufacturing process.
Guiding our customers every step of the way, our experienced account managers ensure the entire process runs smoothly.
All finished garments adhere to AQL 2,5 Level 1 or 2 standards. Under the supervision of our garment technologist, our quality control team monitor production of all garments. Fabrics are tested, prior to shipment, according to international standards. Upon arrival in our distribution centre, the fabric is subjected to further examination and testing by our trained fabric inspectors.
Warehousing & Distribution
Morewood’s state-of-the-art distribution centre boasts over 16 000m² of warehouse space. Each of our customers have a designated space within this facility. Consignments are collected daily from our Pinetown distribution centre for delivery around the country.
Our developed infrastructure allows us to distribute to most countries on request.
Our manufacturing team is over 300 people strong and we consider their dedication and craftsmanship to be our greatest asset. This team ensures that our high quality-standards are constantly maintained. We have six manufacturing lines producing an average of 13 000 garments per week.
We specialise in the manufacture of shirts, blouses, work shirts, school uniforms, ladies pants, skirts, chefwear, work pants and conti suits.
Our Quality Assessment team keeps a sharp eye on the entire manufacturing process. In-line and off-line auditors monitor and check quality at every step of the process.
We offer various branding solutions which include embroidery, screen printing, digital printing and sublimation.
We believe in the importance of education. We partner with Focus on iThemba who are actively involved in establishing early childhood development centres in the Valley of a 1000 Hills and Molweni areas. We also provide bursaries to the iThemba Scholars Programme to broaden the opportunity for previously disadvantaged boys and girls to attend Waterfall Schools and to guide them through their 12 year educational journey.
On an annual basis we assist, financially or otherwise, South African small, micro and medium sized businesses, who are either existing or potential suppliers of Morewood. Funds donated assist these suppliers to enhance the quality of their products, improve their production capacity or provide a cash injection into their business.
